Solar Antigo Luxury Coimbra Hotel

The hotel is halfway up a hill, a strenuous trek every time, and it reminded me of a workout, not a vacation! The shower door was also misaligned, a real show-stopper. I almost left a positive review but, of course, received no complimentary drinks or any extra special treatment, just like everyone else.

The room was immaculately clean and had ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS views over the town. The service was top-notch with parking onsite.

Quaint and absolutely gorgeous place to stay 1 km away from Sao Sebastiao Aqueduct. Unique unit with an antique decor, exceptional staff when other services requested eg ordering a taxi for us.

Charming basket of goodies delivered to our room each morning. The service was excellent, especially from Catia, who went out of her way to. One thing to note, be prepared for some steep climbs when exploring Coimbra.

We would use them next time and can recommend this place to all, loved it. The breakfast is large served with scrambled eggs and lovely goodies to eat, as example. The service is top-notch, includes convenient parking.

We had a second-floor apartment that was nicely decorated in a quirky style! It was well equipped with a spacious living area and a cozy bedroom with a separate shower and toilet, just a little bit cramped but still functional!

It wasn't cheap, but honestly, the experience was worth it.

The jacuzzi was such a treat! Our room felt quirky and had great views over the city. Only downside was the steep hill to our parking spot 😅

Be prepared for the steep hill that can be a challenge after a long day!!! Some bathrooms lack privacy and could use better waterproofing!!!

The unique room featured a jacuzzi, offering both comfort and a great view from the back door. The cooking area lacked coffee supplies and the room itself felt cramped, reminiscent of an attic with low beams. While the breakfast was well-prepared and timely, the shower experience was definitely lacking.

Wow, what a beautiful room! The jacuzzi was a nice touch, and the view of the city from the window was just stunning. Breakfast in bed was delicious, and the staff were super friendly, even giving us a welcome drink! Just a heads up, the room is a bit small, especially if you have a lot of luggage.
